Coronavirus Is Ruining Teens’ Lives
We have had Covid-19 for almost a year now. Nothing has been resolved. We just keep closing down businesses and public places, which is doing nothing. Meanwhile, teenagers are losing hope.
High school is one of the most important moments in our lives. For teens, it is the MOST important event in our short lives. Adults look back on high school often. Those memories are highly valued as you transfer from childhood to adulthood. I lost the last two months of my freshman year. I missed my track season entirely, and my last day was unplanned. I never got to tell so many people goodbye. This year, I didn’t get homecoming. I had to FIGHT for my cross-country season when sports are one of the best things for kids during this time. I want to go to prom, have a proper graduation, and a proper next two years of high school. Everyone struggled online and my grades were disappointing. People are going to die anyway, and most people who die are unhealthy or have a weak immune system. Shutting down a country for that reason is stupid. America is unhealthy, maybe that is why we have so many cases. Maybe use this as a lesson that we should be healthy? Stop acting like you know everything and stuff. Let the kids speak out. I want my normal life back, I’m NOT GROWING UP WITH THIS NONSENSE AND DEALING WITH IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
